Anyone have an old Battle Rat sheath?

I got a Battle Rat right before they were discontinued. I also had bought one of the first ones when they initially were released. The old sheath looked like the one I just got, except for the liner on the old one was black kydex that gripped the blade tightly. The new liner is a clear plastic that doesn't grip the blade at all. The knife bangs around in the sheath. I figured if someone has an old one because they upgraded their sheath, maybe we could work something out. Also the snap on my new sheath barely works.
 
Hi AF i got one just before they ended as well and had the clear plastic insert.I found if you take it out and pour very hot water from the kettle on it then wrapped in a towel press on the folded edges and it becomes a tighter fit.Also if you are putting kit or survival tin in the pouch it tightens things up as well. Mine has velcro as the retaining strap closure, sounds like the sheaths are made non standard as and when.Just as well the knife makes up for the sheath:D
 
Thanks I'll probably give that a try. My plastic insert slides right out of the sheath so I can heat that up directly with the hot water.
 
I had a Ranger sheath that was the same way. Plastic insert kept sliding out with the knife. One glob of hot glue up near the top of the insert and no problems since.

If you don't need the sheath and AF doesn't want, I could sure use it....:o
seeing as I am an impoverished medical student :D
