I'm very interested in this gun. The bigger calibers are fun but can't beat a .22 for accuracy and cheap ammo. I have a Ruger 10/22 which is a blast. Great gun for my noob friends to shoot.

The 15-22 looks like it would be the ultimate .22 for me. Anything styled like an AR-15 has to be at least halfway awesome right? :D

The AR-15 styled VTR is nice but not quite on the same level as as the S&W from what I have read so far.

If you have one how do you like it? Post up a pic if you have one!

Own and shoot a CMMG .22LR conversion in 2 of my 3 ARs...have seen a couple of Spikes and Tactical Solutions uppers at my range and I think a dedicated H & K.

My conversion unit is fun to shoot but would not win any smallbore matches. Heard some comments that the S & W and Colt ,.22 s weren't real AR's..well, duh..but some folks felt the non-interchangability of dedicated .22 LR and 5.56 uppers and lowers was an issue.

If I owned an AR I'd get with the conversion unit, if I didn't I'd buy and AR AND the conversion unit, YMMV.

IMO, out of all the new "tacticool" 22s the M&P15 seems to be the best. I own a GSG5, but handled all of them and shot the Colt. A huge plus I see to the S&W is that it has an actual bolt release that works just like real ARs. Get it!

I've got one, but due to weather and a busy life (work, two kids, etc.), I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I like the feel of it. The controls are all the same as my AR, and you can put just about anything on it that you can put on a real AR.

I've heard not to expect match type accuracy, but that didn't concern me too much.

A big plus in my book was the 6 positon stock which will let me shorten up the LOP enough for my kids to shoot it. I figure to combine it with some sort of red dot sight and it should make a great teaching tool.

Besides they look really cool.:D

I don't own one, but I shot one a few times. I personally like my converted A4 rifle more, but it was a blast too shoot. It was a little lighter and shorter than I am used to. A lot more solid of a rifle than I expected. I did like the fact that it has a functional bolt lock/release mechanism.

I have one. The gun is a lot of fun... I was a little apprehensive before I purchased it due to the polymer frame, but that turned out to be a non-issue. It is a blast to shoot, well made, and decent ergonomics. I have put over 2000 rounds through it and it has performed flawlessly.

I am completely satisfied for the price I paid ($430) and would recommend it as a fun plinker.

It actually jams less then my ruger 10/22...
