I really love the look of the 48 Diamond Jack SFOs from GEC. Just wondering if anyone could tell me how it might compare to a GEC Eureka Jack in terms of weight, thickness, etc. The Eureka is currently the largest knife I carry in my pocket. Also the heaviest at about 2.6 oz.

Thank you in advance!

I can get you one tomorrow as I have a blood red Diamond Jack and a smooth white bone Eureka jack. I'll throw the "improved trapper" in the mix as well.

I remembered seeing this thread and took these quick pics. I only now see Ed was going to provide similar pics :o The thickness between the 2 is the same. The #48 on my scale was coming in a 2.9-3oz with the #92 at 2.8-2.9oz. I think the end cap is what's making the difference here.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you both very much!
I think a Diamond Jack is going on my Christmas list. If any are left...

GEC 48 Diamond Jack blood red & GEC 92 Eureka Jack smooth calico

Notice how they use the same bolsters.

Sorry for the crappy pics. First time taking with this camera.

Not crappy at all--
I had not noticed the bolsters.
Looks like I'm asking my wife for a diamond for the holidays...
