I have a boat load of movies in MP4 for mat and would like to watch them on my tv from ipod...I know Apple makes one for around $50 . Any advice?

Go to google and locate 'Cyberguys.' They offer some solutions. As for me, I haven't had much luck getting the IPOD to replay through my tv. When I do, the pic quality is lousy.

The iPod has composite video output; no "converter" is required. It's just a cable and $50 for it is highway robbery. Look around and you can find it for about $15.

Does that also work with a 3gs iphone?

The newer iPods will put out 720p component signal, $50 is crazy expensive for wire, connectors and solder.

i dunno about anyone else but my iPod's mp4 videos end up compressed down a lot...using them on a larger screen would ruin the resolution of the video, but I was using a converter program to put them on (not iTunes purchases).

Yes, iPhone has composite video output. The cable can be found online for about $15 or $20.

And my answer to your next question -- before you even ask it -- is: google it .

Retracted my question, and google's answers were for programs I have already tried and encountered many issues (google doesn't replace experience)...easier to ask on a more "specified" forum I guess. :)
