I would like to know the edge retention of these knives, i am interested in purchasing one and i am doing research on them but i see some postings that the steel is a bit soft??
I have quite a few Spec-Plus series knives. I like them all. You will like them as well. If you ever do chip the blade, they are easily resharpened. I have had no issues with chipping until I hit a stone by mistake & even then, the nicks in the blade were VERY small & fixed in 10 min with the Gatco sharpener. Here is a pic of the nicks. VERY HARD to see, but could be easily "felt" when shaving paper, as it would stop when it hit the nick.
