I would like to purchase a CQC-7 but the one I want and found a good price on is RIGHT HAND CARRY. I am a south Paw, and the Handle would need be drilled, tapped, and Clip Relocated for a Lefty. Is this an option?

I am sure they will get back to you. I called then Friday morning to ask about the correct route for warranty registration and a nice lady picked up on the second ring, I like that.

EKI does tap holes in for lefties, and you can have it done so if you buy directly from them. I'm sure they'll answer your email during business hours.

EKI has been great to deal with after the sale. I've sent a couple of knives in for warranty work as well as sent 2 knives in to be drilled and tapped for left hand carry. I think the longest I was without my knives was 12 days, and that included shipping time on both ends to and from Michigan.

Emerson is about all I carry any more.

Same here. $25, took about two weeks. I'm getting ready to send my CQC8 in and have it done, already sent the Horseman in and got it back.

They do make a full lefty CQC7 and lefty Commander. Those are the only two lefties they make as far as I know. If you're a southpaw, get the real deal with the actual LH liner lock. I won't use a righty specific knife any more. It's so nice to be able to use a knife the way it's designed and not have to do a work around. You can only get the lefties from EKI, but I think it's well worth the extra money you have to spend to get it direct.

I have a lefty commander and its great... The cqc7, even tapped for left carry is very difficult to open via thumb disk for a lefty...

Got an e-mail back from EMI, $25.00 +Return Postage Charge, and it can be done for about $40.00. Time would be 10 days or so.
