I recently came across Diving Sparrow knives in a copy of TK magazine and was pretty attracted to the knife in the pic which was the Walkabout 9. I went to their site to find that although unknown to me in the several years I've been 'into' knives they must be either well liked or cocky cuz their stuff is pretty pricey. The same goes for Ozark Traditions knifeworks, I just now heard of them but their stuff is pretty expensive too. So does anyone out there have a Walkabout in any size(6,7,9" blades) cuz I'd love to hear how good/bad it is. I was impressed with the look of Diving Sparrow's blades but the fact that they are just 1095 and micarta is what makes me think that they better be awesome for that price. I mean hell most people think that TOPS knives are quite overpriced given they're also 1095 and micarta but they are pretty tough blades. As for Ozark I know they use 'super steels' so I'm sure that is part of why their prices are high but is their stuff worth the price tag?

Abe is a stand up guy and a member here.
His handle is "CanRanger"
I only have one of his knives and it is a folder in the Scagel style.
I believe it is his first ever folder...

Its a stout little beastie.

As far as his pricing...
There is much, much more to a knife than blade steel and handle material.
Whether it is worth what he's asking, that is your decision to make.
