Anyone ever used one of their products?

http://www.lameyknives.com/

I working on a trade for things with edges for things that go boom and I've been offered one of his knives in trade. Seems like he does some nice work; just curious if anyone here has used his stuff.

I don't personally own one, nor do have I personally used one FWIW.

His knives carry a pretty good reputation for quality and value. Depending on how you value your goods for trade, you may be getting a smokin' good deal.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Matt seems like a nice guy, and he made me a nice offer for the trade. I don't want to take advantage of him, either. I just want to make sure it's an equitable deal on both sides, and it certainly sounds like his knives are worth the money, from what I have been hearing.

I've got one of his knives. He really does good work. I believe Tactical Knives had an article on him not too long ago. I would put him in the up and comer category.

I've had five or six Matt Lamey Bowies come through here for the Southern Comfort treatment, and all were excellent examples of Matt's understanding of the Bowie knife. Fast and powerfull at the same time - great fighters that can still do camp chores. Jump on the deal, you won't be sorry!

Matt was at the SOS show here and I had a chance to to get one of his knives. It was a great piece of work, extremely sharp and very light and comfortable in the hand.

I showed it to my dad and he promptly put it to work in the kitchen as his new butcher knife and even uses it to limb low branches out of the pecan trees around the house. I has a chance to look at it this weekend and it is still in the same condition it was when he used his "parental right" to take it off my hands. He keeps it cleaned and properly stored in the cloth case that Matt provided fot it.

If you get one, i do not think you will find it to be anything other that outstanding.

Cerberus.

I have known Matt for 4 years now and have 9 of his knives. I have one of his first knives and I just got a new bowie a few weeks ago. The difference of just 4 years is incredible. His attention to detail, workmanship and understanding of a utility or fighting knife make him, IMO one of the top makers in the country.

Mark my words; watch this guy.

I have to join the chorus of compliments for Matt's knives. I have a Sunrise Fighter bowie, and it is a fine knife. Very light and quick. Excellent edge, and very good craftsmanship. I'd buy another Lamey knife if the oppotunity presented itself.

I appreciate all the positive feedback. Now I feel a little guilty trading a measly shotgun for one of Matt's work's of art. ;)

Matt can make a knife anytime, but as talented as the boy is, he can't make no shotgun.....:D
