Can anyone tell me the major differences between these two models (Marine series 1594 and Sea Diver series 1584?) I love my original g-shock for everyday beating but was interested in something a bit more refined. My Victorinox watches aren't as durable as I'd like and these seem to fit the bill. Can anyone provide me some insight?

Thanks in advance!

Kev

I'm the Webmaster for law enforcement supply company that is considering becoming a full-line Luminox dealer. I am looking at the current dealer catalog now and the only difference I see is that the 1584 has a 39mm case and the 1594 has a 38mm case. The only other differences appear to be cosmetic; I take it you have looked them over at www.luminox.com. I have heard nothing bad about these watches. I am considering one myself...the 802 in the Ultimate Field Series.

I would definitely check around for the best price. There are alot of variations in the prices of these when you start to look.

I saw one of these watches being worn for the first time yesterday, and I was surprised how 'readable' it was, the contrasting is vivid. I was a few feet away from the person who was wearing it, and I could easily distinguish the time. I wish they made a day-date model.

My advice is keep on gathering opinions. Mr. Webmaster is after all trying to get set up as a dealer. No offense meant, just that many if not most, would suspect your opinion to be biased.
Try www.TacticalForums.com and their search feature for opinions on Luminox from real-deal operators.......not so glowing I'm afraid.

I put up with the awful TF search function (can't search multiple forums at once) and came up with two guys who seem to hate Luminox and a bunch of positives. I have a 3001 or 3101 or whatever it is and I love it. If I buy another Luminox it would be a Yao version.

Search the Navy SEALs forum and it's all there.....

Ahhh... that was one forum I didn't look at. Again, I love my Luminox, but I'm not in the military or in a position to worry about my position unless friends and I get drunk enough to think that playing Hide n' Go Seek is a good idea, so for me my 3101 or whatever model it is is great.
