I'm concidering a purchase but don't have the slightest bit of experience with Böker quality in general.
I know there's a subforum but I'd like non biased opinions on the knife and/or the brand.

Thanks in advance guys !

I had a few Boker knives, and still keep some in my collection. Not the Kalashnikov though, but I keep looking at it time to time...
My personal opinion: German made Boker knives are unreasonably expensive, their Magnum series offer great variety and cheap prices combined with crappy steel and overall questionable quality, while their Boker Plus knives are just about right - so Kalashnikov knives are worth trying, if you like bigger folders.

I have the 101. It is one big hunk of steel. I don't carry mine at present as it is kind of large for EDC but maybe I'll try it soon. The knife flips out easily and has good strong lockup. I would recommend it.

The blade is 440C and is a recurve. I believe it is made in Taiwan and mine came very sharp.

Thanks both you guys, looks like I'm pulling the trigger on the thing. I've been eyeballing it long enough now ;)
