The large is too big for me, and I put down money for a small as soon as I heard about them. When are they going to be out though??

From a conversation I have had with the folks at CRK it seems that the small 25 hasn't been designed yet.

Edit: I just looked through my emails and that information was from June of 2012--I guess things could have changed since then!

If this is true, it's news to me. I e-mailed CRK in December and this was the response:

"Chris still hasn’t designed a small Sebenza 25 and I have no idea if/when he will."

So if you really have both confirmed that a Small Sebenza 25 has/will be produced and were allowed to reserve one, please confirm this. Thanks.

I just put down money at a local shop with the promise that I would get the first one they receive. I was not given a timeline or anything

But based on this, maybe I should use that money to buy something else!

As far as I know, there is nothing beyond the large 25 for the now. That includes Insingo blades, inlays, etc. This from Heather herself a while ago. Of course anything might have changed during that while.

I'd love a small!

From one with no knowledge of what's coming, a small 25 is inevitable as are inlays and graphics. The 25 is quite a canvas for all sorts of art work. Personally, I like the idea of a 25 with the 21 pivot.

That's pretty shady, I would go get my money back if I were you. For all you know they could be closed down before the small 25 even comes out.

Just e-mailed CRK again and they said there was no news on the Small Sebenza 25, and not to check back for at least four months or so.

That would be just after the Blade Show.

I hope more options are introduced, and noticed in the BladeHQ video that Chris referred to the 25 as the "L25 or large 25" so have some hope.

But remember that the small Umnumzaan has never appeared and he has not offered any embellishments to it or the Ti-Lock. Who knows what the future holds.

And on top of that being shady, you could just as easily put your name down with CRK as soon as they announce "smalls will be made" or get with one of their distributors(email you when they're in stock) There seems to be so many safer alternatives. Go get your money back.

I tried to order a small 25 the other day. Heather's response was, "this is not a knife we offer. We have not created a small sebenza 25."

Is there real concern about Chris Reeve closing down his company? I have read a couple messages online about the Sebenza 25 being the last of the knives for his company is this something that we should be concernd about?

Thanks for the information.

Sounds like some sort of new urban myth.

The concern is about the shady retailer that took the OP's money down on a pink unicorn.

While I don't think it good business practice to put down/take money on something not even announced; the likelihood of a small 25 is certainly a notch above a pink unicorn.

Maybe after every human on the planet has a sebenza. It is quite obvious that Chris loves what he does. It isn't just a business about making money. I expect future changes for many years to come.
