Anyone have more detailed pictures of the Laserna backpack? Besides the ones on this forum. Is there a dedicated labtop slot or a slot for CCW access?
I kinda wish these was another strip or two of molle and a velcro area vs the sewn on patch on the back.

Talk me into or out of one these Laserna packs? Was looking at the Maxpedition Condor II in OD but I gotta say the Laserna looks mighty fine with a Junglas attatched to it, LOL.

I have never handled a Junglas pack before, from what I can see it looks like lower quality that maxpedition. The way the pack's materials look it's like they made it using the same stuff that they make the sheath backs with. But, I've read that some people think it's even tougher than maxpedition and that interests me. But for the money I'd rather stick with what I know and get a condor 2. If you were to get one though and didn't like it I'm sure it would go fast in the trading or selling forum.

You can always get the rat pack patch and velcro it to a maxpedtion.;)

Nope.

The Junglas pack is more in line with the expensive stuff build quality wise.

Think Kifaru, not Maxped.

Super heavy duty.

Not trying to hyjack, but could anybody upload a video of the pack? Possible next to a maxpedition? If what you say is true than the pictures really don't do the pack justice. I really like the features of the pack but if It's not higher then maxpeditions quality, I don't see a reason to pay extra for the ESEE stamp.

+1 You can see in TTD's thread that I also have a few Maxped stuff, but the Laserna is Heavy Duty, looks are misleading it really is a tough one.

Video would be awsome.
Anyone know of any independet reviews of the pack? I have searched but except the ones on blade forums here seems to be none online :(

No video available as far as I can find.

I've owned a ton of Maxped stuff and while it's great gear, it's not even remotely comparable to the Columbian made ESEE stuff.

Put it this way, the Junglas pack weighs in at 5lb. empty. It's beyond heavy duty.

That stroke me too when I got mine, I thought they'd left a couple of ESEE5 in! It's really sturdy. I believe it's 1,000 denier like Maxped (Mike please correct me if I am wrong) and yet it's more souple and that allows you to actually store some gear in the storage compartments rather than forcing them in and out because the material is so stiff (Maxped and others tend to do that).

It's a great pack and worth every cent. As soon as it's out again I might take another one!

You've probably known about these, but the thread lacked videos. I had to put some useful information in the thread.
