Since their Shot Show announce I haven't seen much on the new gerber line: the Order, the Edict, and the Decree. I'm really interested in the Decree and gerbers claim to being USA made and using S30V steel has really done it for me. Ive been keeping a check around youtube but have yet to see any reviews up yet. So does anyone around here have one or handled one and care to share?

La-------gear shows having all three in stock. Google shows quite a few place with GB31002733 which is the Order in stock.

Thanks for the heads up on these, I hadn't heard of them.

The US made Gerbers are quite nice, for the most part. I have the s30v Propel, it is very well made. Also the 06s are nice knives as well. It uses a leave spring for the assisted opening. They do s30v quite well too.

I wonder how that "rubberized" handle on the Decree will feel? When I ordered a griptilian, I thought the handle would have some sort of rubber feel because of the name "GRIP"-tilian, but I was wrong. I still think a slightly grippy coating would be good on some knives.

It's good to see S30V while being made in US, but I wonder how it will hold up to what gerber claims its for:

"The Decree is built for hard labor over the long haul. Slip it into a pocket for daily access to a knife that will answer with strength and assurance when tasked. Tie the knife down using its lanyard hole for additional security."

I can't help but wonder, what do they mean "Tie the knife down using its lanyard hole for additional security"?
Tie the knife to what? A stick?

I have been eyeing these and have been wondering the same thing. The decree looks pretty tempting. I don't know how much I would like rubberized texturing if its similar to the gator. But they seem like pretty decent blades.

Clearly the knife is SO b.a. you have to tie it down just as you would a wild dog... tie it down for additional security... FROM THE KNIFE ITSELF! ;)

Decree is pretty tempting. The only thing I'd want to feel for myself was how " grippy" the rubber type handle is. It may not come out of a pocket very smoothly. Of course maybe just take off the clip and use a pouch sheath.

The Edict is a bit more eye catching for me, personally. Looks like it could be a solid beater for under $50.

says

•Blade Steel: 154CM
•Handle Material: Rubber over-molded glass-filled nylon

I just got a Gerber Order two days ago. It's got 420HC steel which is fine with me. It has really nice ergos and I like the choil. Lock up is solid and it has a half-stop which I like. Also, it's made in the USA. About the only thing I'd change is that the pocket clip is mounted tip down. I've seen them for $36 free shipping on the bay but I paid a little more because I bought it locally.
