Anyone have one of these? I see they are available in black with uncoated blade, OD green/Black, and Brown/Black. They look interesting and want some feed back.

The Talwar is an awesome knife, I had three AUS8 and now one in XHP. It takes a while for it to break in and the FFG is good for slicing. It's a bit of a specialty knife and looks intimidating. The wave works great, the texture on the G10 is rough, the new XHP model have the same thick rough textured G10 as the AUS8 model.

Hi DocT,
I have the XL version CTSXHP Black and satin steel and it is my favorite EDC, followed closely by the Large DLC Espada then the XL Recon 1 folder (Both CTS XHP). I see that Knifeworks is carrying the XL Talwar CTS XHP in OD Green and Coyote both with DLC coated blades. If I had the $140 I would get the Coyote version and swap out the blades, the black DLC blade with the black handle and stainless screws and bolts would make a stunning combination. I put a more acute edge angle (17 deg. per side) and put a mirror polish on the edge with my Wicked Edge and am just in awe with its cutting performance. It took some time for the spring to loosen up enough where I could close it without using a hard edge surface to depress the lock, but it was worth the effort.
All the best,
Alan

I plan on getting a 4-inch bladed version with the black DLC-coating and Coyote Tan handle soon.

I already have the previous versions in both sizes in Aus-8A and the 4-inch has become a favorite EDC that rotates through a lot.

I keep looking at them and thinking about getting one. I'm not terribly fond of back locks but I like the blade shape and the steel. My only concern is just how wide the blade is when folded and in the pocket. I usually carry a Zt561 so if its much wider than that I'll be less interested. Does anyone have a pic of them side by side closed?

If it had a thumb stud I'd have one by now. Had an AK with the plate and couldn't warm up to it.
