Anyone have one of the Ti rings made by Strider Knives??.

I remember seeing the Strider Titanium rings on Tad Gears website. But they are now long gone. Anyone have one?. How much did they cost?. hows the quality?, scratch resistant?. Thanks in advance.

i didn't know strider or emerson ever made rings.

no, they were made by Strider. Not the ones with the glass breakers. These ones had a strider finish on them, they looked really cool. It has probably been a couple years ago that they were on Tads site. I dont know why there hasnt been much talk about them

Are you sure it was a Strider ring? I think I recall it as a Tadgear ring Striderized with flame anodizing.

Anyway, the Tadgear version is on sale for the holiday season.

Wow, I've gotta get one of those rings for the next time my car is quickly sinking into a river and I need to break the glass. Then all I have to do is carefully unscrew the little point from my keychain (don't drop it!), then screw it into the ring on my finger (don't crossthread!) and I'm ready for glass breaking.

I'm fairly certain the title "glass breaker" is just to bypass jurisdiction over what is considered a weapon.

I can't imagine sticking that on my finger and punching it into glass and expecting friendly results. i can't imagine punching a person with it, for that matter.

You don't need to thread the glass breaker in to do damage. The ring takes a lot of pressure to compress. Which means chances are the soft flesh of the target will give way first.

If you think you're gonna need the spike, thread it on first and wear it so it point towards the palm. It's not that uncomfortable.

The physics is entirely different. Ring protects finger by channeling the energy around the finger. Helps disperse the impact energy a lot.

Depends. Car windows can break without needing an impact device in your hand.
