Not sure why they include IL, there is nothing about that knife that would be illegal here?????

EDIT: OK, I see what they have done, they've misread IL law.

It would be perfectly legal to carry that while hunting or camping or any outdoor activity in IL.

Covering their behinds a little to much.

I know a mail order company who won't sell even the smallish Puma Original Bowie, always at a great sale price of course, to Alabama, among other states. It isn't our laws - it's their bean counters and legal department - or so they say. I figured they just didn't have the product... and cancelled their catalogs, etc. I haven't seen a S.G. flyer in years now. I found the Puma cheaper at another mail order site - and had it in days.

That 'Red Head' is nice - especially so if it's a Buck! of course, it doesn't say it's a Buck...

That is interesting, it says "designed by Chuck Buck", but never does actually say it's a Buck.

???????????????

Designed by our Team and Chuck Buck.
3-1/2" file worked blade.
angled skinning point, elk slab handle
Includes leather sheath.
Made in USA.
but who the heck is Red Head ?
and by the way
dugh ... puma's are nice and i like them also :).. but..but
geeze gemme a break, why did ya post a pict ?
well i guess there is no telling on taste:(

the questions were on the new "buck" with a red head tang stamp
and why it dont have Buck on it?

Red Head is a Bass Pro proprietary brand name. I have a chicom 382 with Red Head etched on the blade. You can buy Red Head gillie suet or a bass boat.

The BP By me has has some Red Heads and some with out Red head on the blade... It's a nice knife....

so buck is OEM for BP Red Head brand.. right?
like calumas was OEM for buck slippys..
or sharade for the sears 110 look-alike ...
or am i missing some thing ?
JOE were are you ?

The last two words in this line, found at the top of the BP page leads me to believe it is indeed made by Buck:

"RedHead® Pro Series Skinner Fixed Blade Knife by Buck®"

I would like confirmation though, it's a nice design. I'd like to see the sheath too.
