Anyone have pics of their RAT's in leather?

Im thinking of getting a nice sheath for my RC4. I love the kydex, but wouldn't mind the look of a more traditional sheath.

I think my RC3 would stay in the original sheath. The orange handles would look odd (IMHO) in leather. But my RC4 has the green linen micarta.

Pics would be appreciated... and references to any custom leather working folks.

if you want the functionality of kydex with the look and feel of leather i would recommend Martin Swinkels. i just got a kydex/leather sheath made by him for my RAT pack knife, and i am REALLY likin it :thumbup:

don't have any pics yet (because I'm still waiting on the sheath), but I ordered a custom rig from JRE Industries for my BK-7, and I'm just about to place an order with Armoralleather for my ESEE-4. I keep both kydex and leather for different areas and weather conditions...

no welt, i made it a real snug fit so it shouldn't be an issue but if it is i can always re stich it.

It sure is. I am the guy Dave made that for. It carries like a dream you almost forget its there. Dave did a outstanding job on it. We were talking about a back pocket sheath and I end up getting a freaking work of art. I couldn't be happier with the style or the craftsmanship. Dave even went as far as to line the back with suede so it stays in the pocket when you draw the knife. He really went way beyond the call on this one. I would recommend one of these back pocket sheaths to anyone. They are that good.
