Anyone have pictures of a "FLAK"?

While looking at http://www.PirelaBladeDesign.com I saw a description of a custom STRIDER called a FLAK (Fast & Light Active Knife).

Go to the "xculise" section and scroll down.

It was described as a tanto folder, with G-10 handles.

Does anyone have any pics or info on this knife?
 
The FLAK (fast & small) Knife is a fixed blade for CQB, unobstrusive and eficient blade profile, makes it and easy gear to carry when the task demands only esential tools. :D

It's going to be a serialized limited run done by the Strider guys in a sold out edition and at this point, the blue prints of the knife are the only reference for its appearance. Some changes in the design could be done by Strider Knives but basically it will look like the pic...

The handles will be the screwed G10 style (like the EB series) and two finishes will be done: machine satin finish and tiger stripe. :cool:

I fired you an email. We have brought up in the past a Strider Auto, and looking at your designs, a FLAK auto would be sweet. I am in no way a represenative of Strider, just a big fan. Just trying to help, and add in my two cents. Let me know what you think.

I wish I would have checked out Joel's site earlier. This looks to be a slick knife. I did manage to get my name in for the Crawford folder.

Joel, after looking over all of the new designs, it looks like the Crawford is the folding version of the FLAK. Same blade shape and similar handle. Am I seeing things or is this the case?
 
You're correct!!!

The "Defender" is the folder version of this knife.

Crawford's version has solid Ti handles instead of G10...

As far as anyone has heard, they have made that proto in the pic and thats about it. Not sure, but email Joel, he is great for responses.
 
I really like that knife. It reminds me of the Benchmade AFCK by Chris Caracci, only as a fixed blade and with a straightened blade/handle angle...

OK, I'm sorry. I'm just teasing. It is very cool. Someone please let me know if I'm just being a dick. It's hard for me to tell without any adult supervision.
 
We're actually working on those now.
I have to tell you, Joel is as patient as a stone.
Never once has he bugged.
