I'm trying to decide the color of my wallet that I'm going to order, but it's hard to find any pictures of wallets that are used already. I noticed a lot of you guys had SBL stuff and wanted to know if you could post pictures of your used SBL. Thanks, it's just so hard to decide color. I'm thinking Tobacco brown but in some pictures it looks too light. That's why i want to see some that aren't brand new.

Here is a picture of my small wallet in chestnut along with a couple of other EDC items. I've had the wallet for about a year and a half.

I have a breifcase in Tobacco Brown (going on three years old), an iPhone pouch in Tobacco Brown and a wallet in Dark Coffee Brown (each about six months old). SBL doesn't really have a Chocolate Brown color in the middle.

IMHO, the Dark Coffee Brown is a little too dark. Against a light background, it appears black to my eyes. Only when you put it against a black background does it appear as a very dark shade of brown. That said, I do like the Coffee Brown for a wallet. I prefer a darker looking wallet. The Coffee wears well and looks nicer, more rugged and more brown with age.
*** Update *** after receiving a Coffee Brown Ipad case, I'm totally sold on the Dark Coffee Brown color! The bigger case really shows the brown color.

The Tobacca Brown starts off looking a little too suede-like for my liking. If fact, when I got my bag, I debated on exchanging it for another color because it was so light. Don't get me wrong, the breifcase is outstanding I just wasn't sure on the color. I'm very glad I kept it though. The color has darkened nicely over the years to a more mediumish sort of brown and in another three years or so it should be just where I want it :p

When I got my iPhone pouch, I worked on speeding up the darkening process. I applied a couple of coats of Lexol oil. Each day I would spend a few minutes here and there rubbing the pouch between my hands with the phone inside (think summoning a Genie from a bottle). Eventually the finish smoothed and the color darkened to a nice deep brown.

Here is a picture of my ID wallet after one month of use. The lighter colored leather has seen zero wear. So far I really like it!

Matteo... Is that a PT in your wallet?

It is a Micro-Tech Option II in titanium, carbon fiber and a 154-CM blade. I purchased it new in 2001 and have carried in my wallet regularly since. It's a whole lotta knife for it's credit card sized dimensions. I absolutely love it.

Here is my Tobacco briefcase. It has wear and tear from 1.5 years of use and a few light applications of mink oil. I'm very happy with it.

Whoops, I forgot to add that bit because everyone always asks. Apparently mine is an older model and they weren't sure whether they'd put that on the later production bags.
