I would like to see the butt cap and some pics in someones hand to get a better feel for size or perhaps with a dollar bill next to it. I am putting money aside for something from HI and the Uncle Bille Especiale has it's own uniqueness amongst already unique knives so it's at the top of my list. Youtube doesn't seem to have any videos of the UBE that I can find. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Heya VA, while I don't have a UBE to get pics for you, I think it's best to mention that due to the nature of HI and the kamis, no two khuks will be exactly alike, even if they are the same model. Variations in weight, handle length and thickness, blade length, spine thickness cho creep, etc. will mean that taking a photo of someone else's UBE perhaps may provide you with incorrect expectations.

I have always compared the UBE with the WWII model in terms of size and weight, just without a swedge and an upward sweep at the tip, perhaps photos of the WWII in hand are more common?

Heres a couple:

And the UBE should be in here somewhere:

Not that i don't want to help, but i don't have the patience or time to do vast searches for pics.
You may search yourself by using the "search forum" function located just under the page numbers at the top of the forum or you may search the entirety of bladeforums by using this:

Karda, I appreciate the help and the advice. For some reason I didn't have so much luck when I did my own search but the links you provided for me were great, thanks.

Thanks 7rip, the WWII models were one of the other ones I had considered and the 18" siru. The UBE reminds me of a persian dagger and it just looks cool and I'm guessing functional.

Thank you Yangdu. I love this blade. beautiful shape. Looks like it should stab and chop pretty good. Looking forward to finding out.

I've seen a picture of a UBE before but I didn't really appreciate its shape. Previously I thought of it in comparison to the Ultimate Fighter design because of the upswept tip.

Looking at it now, the shape reminds me of a mammoth with the high forehead and the tusks sloping down and then up. Seeing it in this way I like it a lot. The one pictured here is a beautiful specimen.

I hope the kamis bring this model back. If possible, 18" long and under 30 oz. It doesn't need to be really bulky.
