After reading a few threads here I think I would like a book on American made axes. The one in the title seems like an obvious choice. Does anyone have that book? Another one you would recommend?

Would like the history and makers marks to be in the book I end up buying.

Thanks!

The American Axes by J Kaufmann is a great read. Also, Axe Makers of North America is also a great read.

Very few people here will ever crack either of the two books mentioned. They are both marvelous sources of info for the collector and a must for the axe lover.

i was looking at that the other day on amazon. i believe that i'm going to get it before winter. should be a good read for those cold winter days.
thanks for reminding me of it ;)
