I just ordered one and I wanted to get opinions. The one I ordered is the ATS 34 worm groove bone version. Its a big knive but has a lanyard hole. I will be putting a leather thong in it. The blade looks like it would be good for aggressive cutting and since its ATS 34 it will get a very keen edge indeed!

I had one, and though a beautifully made knife with great steel, I found I had little use for the large blade so sold it.

Your mileage may of course be different. I hope so!

It is big. I think that given the size, shape of the blade and material it would make a good hard use aggressive knife. I like the straight cutting edge with the sharp "point".

I picked one up a while back in a trade. I wanted it because I have two other worm grove bone S&M's , so far I am quite pleased with it, but...there is a tad bit of side to side play on the blade,(I'll fix that at some point) but otherwise the fit and finish is excellent. Easily pinch able with all that blade to grab, but the hump is a tad sharp, so not so comfy in pocket. Maybe I will soften the hump, but more likely it will be a sheath knife or a bench knife so no worries in those scenarios. It would be very easy to open this one up with gloves on, and the handle shape is extremely comfortable to my hand anyway. And being that its ATS-34 steel, its a keeper for sure!

I was just thinking. With all this Zombie Apocalypse stuff going around, this would classify as the traditional folder version of a Zombie Apocalypse knife with its looks and blade shape.

I had one briefly but it suffered from what I felt were serious quality issues on the blade. It went back to S&M and got exchanged for another knife. I wish it had been up to the standards that I know they can hit with the File & Wire series because I love the overall shape and feel of that pattern. Hope yours is a good one.

That is a great looking knife! I have the large toothpick in the same worm grove bone and think it is just great. I never considered a cotton sampler before, but now...........

The blade style/shape is just not a common thing... So, that means I like it! Hope she is all that you expect her to be (f&f) :-)

Looks great! And, if it's anything like any of the Schatts I've had, it will be a real sweetheart. They sure do treat their ATS-34 the right way!

I love that thing. The cotton sampler is either hit or miss for me with the blade, and that one really speaks to me.
i think its just my mind working, but what if you ground the top of that blade down, into a wharncliffe blade. Paired with those beautiful handles, that would make an awesome swayback jack. You could even blend in a swedge.
