Benchmade Nagara. Ti with Nak-Lok....but made in China.

Thoughts? Looks interesting.

It's on my list of knives I'll probably buy in the future. I don't care where it's made, it's a beautiful knife and has gotten positive reviews.

I recall reading some discussion of minor lock-up issues, i.e. a bit of up and down wobble, like most lockbacks have.

Never bought one of these knives, but the one I held looked good to me as far as fit and finish, lock-up, etc. goes.

don't like the lock.....:barf:
The rest is fine,i got one in a pass around, For around $80 bux it had blade play....good luck.

It's basically a liner lock with a button to press on the scale so you don't have to push the liner with your finger.

It does look good, saw a couple reviews on u tube they were quite positive.
I am tempted to purchase one myself. On the by and by, I just received a Benchmade Monochrome, and I'll tell you what, for the $$ this is one sharp solid knife. Frame lock, is solid, as a rock and the blade is sharp as any of my high end knives.

The Nak Lock actually works like a Compression Lock with a button to disengage. It's a pretty good design for the money.

Thanks for the replies...

It doesnt look super tough...but it sure is perty.:D

Being a Benchmade I'm confident it'll be robust enough for a nice gentlemans folder.

Thanks for the lock clarification...hadnt seen one of those before.

I have one and i really like it not a heavy user and it rusts quickly but hey its too pretty not to carry round. mine is solid with no play and super fast to deploy.

Like was mentioned it is basically a compression lock but with a button to move the lock bar. It should be much stronger than a liner lock just like the compression lock has been tested by Spyderco to be one of their strongest locks.

Mine doesn't have any play at least not enough for me to notice. I do wish that when you pressed the button you could then wrist flick the blade open or closed but it doesn't work. Would be curious to know why the lock was not liked. For the money it's pretty darn nice with ti handle slabs and nice fit and finish.

I got one as an EDC and it's fine, no play to speak off and I think great value but not as good as a Buck 110!!
