Anyone heard of 4109 Stainless steel?

I just picked up a Stainless model Douk Douk from Laci Szabo and it is stamped 4109. I have seen pictures of this model from a few years back and they were marked 440. I assume this is a designation for the steel being used now rather than 440. Closest thing I can find is DIN1.4109.

Any info would be appreciated, Thanks.

It may be a German steel produced by Krupp.


Btw, Cold Steel uses 4116 Krupp steel in their Pocket Bushman.

4109 is for sure 1.4109, pretty similar to 440A.
