So Michael Crichton (RIP) is one of my favorite authors. And I have just now gotten to reading his latest book (incomplete and finished by Richard Preston), Micro.
In it, one of the characters carries a Spyderco knife, that he describes as "thick" and "serrated". I'm halfway done and no mention of model name yet.
It hasn't come up just once, but is a pretty key tool, multiple times in the plotline.
Kudos to Michael Crichton for understanding the value of a knife, and giving Spyderco a plug in mainstream media.
