So Michael Crichton (RIP) is one of my favorite authors. And I have just now gotten to reading his latest book (incomplete and finished by Richard Preston), Micro.

In it, one of the characters carries a Spyderco knife, that he describes as "thick" and "serrated". I'm halfway done and no mention of model name yet.

It hasn't come up just once, but is a pretty key tool, multiple times in the plotline.

Kudos to Michael Crichton for understanding the value of a knife, and giving Spyderco a plug in mainstream media.

I haven't read Micro. I didn't care for Timeline, but I really liked Prey, Disclosure, and especially Airframe.

Big fan of sphere read that like ten times when i was about 12-13 and loved each time. I find it weird that hes best known for Jurassic Park when he had books like Sphere and Eaters of the Dead.

TBH, the only book of his I didn't read was Eaters of the Dead, was it good?

Loved Prey and Sphere though.

Ok, that makes it official, I need to pick this book up. I really like his work, the only one I haven't read is the great train robbery, and this one looks good. Have you finished the book? Any more context clues to help narrow down which one it is?
