Hello all,
I fish a lot of spillways and always see carp. When the fish aren't biting I often daydream about force feeding the carp with a barbed arrow. So I just recently went out and picked up a PSE wave starter kit. So I was wondering if anyone here bow fished and had stories, pictures, or advice they'd like to share!

Thanks in advance,
Eric

I don't yet, but want to get into it. I have my older bow PSE fire flight 33 I want to get set up. Looking forward to seeing pics of folks rigs they use.

This looks like a blast!
By bow is not set up for bow fishing, but I will bow fish someday when I have the proper rig. I have seen a lot of carp, but I don't particularly care to eat them.

im hoping to try this summer but am thinking about just picking up one of Dave Cantebury's sling bows and using that

fishing arrows are a lot heavier than regular arrows, 2 to 3 times heavier. haven't watched any youtube vids of it with fish arrows, it may work may not.

I do know a 40 lb. recurve will. I don't shoot a compound but the stabilizer is a good place to put a reel.

I use a Kodiak magnum that has a stabilizer insert to fish with. works pretty well, with 75lb test dynamic catfish line on it.

When I was about 12 years old (52 now) I had a cross bow. I would go to the river and shoot carp all the time. Made my own bolts to shoot. The carp were big, maybe 18'' - 24'' long. I would set up on a sand bar cliff above them, about 15 feet up and shoot down into about two feet of water.
I must of shot 100's of those fish - fun stuff. I shot the cross bow so much, the cable finally broke.
Sold it at a garage sale.....:grumpy: Never bought another one.
