My new toy. :D

Just got her a couple weeks ago. Slowly but surly getting the hang of driving a manual transmission. This car is alot of fun.
Anyone else here drive a MT?

That just might be the best looking car I have ever seen. I taught my daughter to drive a manual, she is very proud of the skill.

I prefer stick and will always buy it as long as the car I'm looking at comes with that option the problem is less and less cars have that option. I absoluetly love that car and that is actually the exact car even down to the color that I had planned on buying when I first read about them. I even had my name on the waiting list for when they first hit the local dealer but then I found out I was going to be a dad so I ended up buying a new Charger lol. That is a sweet ride and I have to say I'm feeling a tad jealous right now! :) Good choice with the BRZ too as I think it looks better than the Scion version. Even the stock wheels look good I wouldn't change anything other than add tint to the windows and that car is perfect. Can we get some more pictures at different angles?

Sweet I test drove the FRS nice car. Yours looks better. Slap on a set of winter tires when it snows and she'll do great too, unless you don't have snow where you live!

Beautiful car! I drive a 1985 3/4 ton GMC Sierra, 4-door with a 5-speed manual. Not the fastest thing on four wheels, but it's a piece of the family and I love it. Once you start driving stick, you wonder why anyone wants an automatic:)

Do you live a 1/4 mile at a time?:D Over steer drifter?

Nice ride. Heel toe, gotta rev. match. Listen to the engine. You will feel like a professional racer when done correctly.
Practice with the car off.

Heel-and-toe shifting is used before entry into a turn while a vehicle is under braking, preparing the transmission to be in the optimal range of rpm to accelerate out of the turn. One benefit of downshifting before entering a turn is to eliminate the jolt to the drivetrain, or any other unwanted dynamics. The jolt will not upset the vehicle as badly when going in a straight line, but the same jolt while turning may upset the vehicle enough to cause loss of control if it occurs after the turn has begun.

Ive always been a manual driver,---- To be honest, I suck in an auto now. Ill go to press the clutch and smack the breaks andstick it into Neutral instead of second gear :P LOL

5-speed manual here. I've got a 2012 version of my car at my disposal (company), and the 8-speed flappy paddle box is a nightmare in manual mode.

Only ever had stick and will never change, way more fun then auto, awesome ride:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Sweet ride man! That new Subie is a beaut. I daily drive a 97 Prelude 5 speed every day in LA traffic.

exactly! The other day I wa driving my folks around and my dad said "you drive this car like you are weaing it." Just can't get the same control or fun with an auto trans.
that subie looks like WAAAAY too much fun!!

When I first saw Steve McQueen drive that '68 Mustang in Bullitt, I knew that I wanted to drive a stick, and I have ever since.

I really like the way those Subbys look but know next to nothing about them, I can drive a stick but I much prefer an auto for a daily driving city car.

Excellent choice of rides! I like the BRZ its just a little small inside the cockpit for my lanky figure - hopefully it fits you better.

My '07 Legacy GT is a stick and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Have fun clutching!

Wow! I've never seen an attractive car from Subaru before, but that is really pretty.

It'll be on my next test drive list if it comes in a blue convertible. And whaduya know..

Heck yeah, I'd drive that!

Anyone here drive stick?

My previous truck was a stick, which I loved for snow and ice and some hair-raising driving in the mountain gasfield. The stick was a PITA in the city though.
My car is a Honda "S2000" and those were only made with manual transmissions.
Of course there aren't many automatic motorcycles either. :)

I bought my first manual in '95 and preferred it ever since, especially in the winter. It feels strange driving an auto now. The only problem is that fewer and fewer are available these days.
