Has anyone here ever broken an Ontario Marine Raider Bowie SP-10? Or seen one broken?

If I remember correctly, Cliff Stamp torture-tested one of these alongside a number of other "hard-use" knives, and this was among those that did not snap in half. Am I right?

It's quite a slab of steel, of course. And I'm sure it's possible to break it, like anything else, if you set out to do it. But as I'd never actually seen a report of one breaking, I thought I'd ask, just out of curiosity.

I haven't beat the #$%@& out of mine but it has been through quite a bit of heavy chopping, and such with no ill effects except a very slight bit of rattle in the guard. As to breaking, mine seems a bit on the soft side so brittleness is not a big worry. And with the back of my tip sharpened back about 1 1/2" I don't put alot of lateral on the tip.

My 13 year old son caused a chip out of the blade about the size of a quarter on the sweet spot due to chopping through a branch with a knot in it. The blade didn't break in half, but it wasn't usable for chopping after and a crack could be seen emanating from the sizable chip.

I used mine for two whole days, never saw outside of my back yard, I Tryed out some chopping and the handle snapped off. If I figure out how to post pictures I'll put one up.
