I picked up a few sets of snowshoes someone was throwing out today. Anyone familiar with older brands? I think about 20 years old. I'm mainly wondering who actually made the LL Bean and Great Canadian ones. I think GV makes them for GC now, but I don't know in the past.
LL Bean "The Maine Snow Shoe" 10x56" narrow teardrop, wood frame
Great Canadian about 10x30" bear paw, wood frame
Sportcraft about 12x42 wide teardrop, aluminum frame
Always wanted to get into snowshoeing. The first two are absolutely like new. The Sportcraft's webbing is expanded hide rather than thong and it's in miserable condition, so I'll probably can them.
