Curious if I should abort or go for it.

I've searched YouTube, and the only videos I've seen are some extremely wacky looking customized linerlock ones(I'm eyeballing a frame lock one)

I've seen plenty of wayfarer reviews. Is the build quality on par with those? How is fit and finish compared to CRK?(closest thing I own to the price on the rainmaker)

Appreciated thanks. If there is bad news, I'd prefer to hear it now, before the hassle of return shipping is needed

The framelock rainmakers are fairly new, the liner lock was what was available before. They are very tempting, that's for sure. Might try to get rid of a few knives I'm not using and try one out.

I own two Rainmakers. Both I purchased direct from Eugene at the @OlamicCutlery table at BLADE last year, and in 2018. Their fit, finish, and action are flawless. The best thing about the Rainmaker pattern is how large the blade is for the handle. You hit that little flipper tab, BOOM, you suddenly have a four inch knife in your hand. Light, thin, fast, all hyperbole aside, the Rainmaker model is probably the only way you're going to get that long a blade in that slim (in both dimensions) a package outside of an OTF knife.

I recommend giving Eugene a call, so you can have one made to your exact specifications. Simply put, their catalog of handle materials (both bolsters AND scales), finishes, and blade grinds means that you could order something you'll never see anyone else with ever (well unless your knife comes out so awesome someone else has to have one of their own made).

I will have to take a new pic, though I HAVE posted pics in Rainmaker threads past, I just don't know where they are at the moment.

Going for it. Just ordered one from dlttrading. Ordered with fedex priority overnight, and supposedly dlt will ship before 2pm central time

Should be interesting

Excellent news! Please report back when you have had some time with it, I'd like to hear your views on the knife.

I really like mine. As Quiet Quiet described above it carries really well for a big blade, not eating up a whole lot of pocket space.

Rainmaker is here!

I'm very pleased. The action on this thing is ridiculous. Smooth, FAST, effortless flipping, and drops shut.
I dont own any other flippers, except an old 20$ crkt ken onion designed thing I bought 20 years ago, but from what I can tell, this is what you'd want to see
Fit and finish is impeccable

It is a BIG BOY. I dare say menacing.

I'm very happy with it. Once my dumbass figures out how to do pictures later I'll throw some up
