Just thought I'd ask if anyone works two jobs and what they were, and how they got by. I thought I'd have the energy because I'm young but yikes, it really left me winded all of last week. Anyone else here work two jobs ?

I work 3 jobs. Firefighter, part-time EMT, and sheathmaker. I'll do what ever I have to for my family regardless of how much it kicks my butt.

I work two jobs. I'm a firefighter as well and I'm a seakayak guide in the non-winter months. Being a guide isn't really work though, because I'm truly getting paid to play.

Yup. Big time.

I work as a coach and also the Equipment Manager (boatman/fix-it guy) for a large rowing club. This spring it's been 10-hour days and at least one regatta a weekend. 6-days a week. Very gratifying, but....WHEW!

My photo business is real and thriving. I have to put in at least 12 hours a week to keep up. My dealer work is the biggest workload. I do a LOT of work for dealers. Thankfully.

Owning a home and supporting a family in the NYC tri-state area requires BIG money to stay ahead. Like Kalooch, I do whatever it takes.

I live at this computer often because of this. The benefit is I get to poke my head into these forums often.

I have four jobs: policy/regulatory writer for a federal agency, a small office cleaning business, real estate sales and property management, and occasional computer consulting. I don't spend much time on the three part time jobs at all but I hope to change that when I retire in 4 years from the fed gig.

I find that working takes up to much of my spare time. Anybody else have that problem?

I have more than two jobs: husband and father amongst others ... no wait jobs means making money, doesn't it? :D

I have three at the moment: Bouncer at one club/lounge, bouncer at another after-hours nightclub, and full-time boyfriend to the world's greatest girlfriend who lives in Texas... so I guess you could say I have a fourth job of being a travel/airline connesieur, haha :D

A full-time nurse here works three 12 hour shifts a week adding up to a 36 hour work week. I work 4-5 days a week.

Wow, I didn't even know it was possible to work more than two jobs, unless maybe you didn't need sleep or food  ! Well I guess I have a relatively easy two jobs, during the day I work as a delivery man, and during the evening I work as a ticket vendor for Ticketmaster. It's an easy 1400 a month, but it can leave me winded. Like KV I do it for the family, but as soon as a full time opening comes for job #2, I'm going to quit my day job.

I have my 9-5 & I work weekends in a bar downtown.
No sleep, no life.
Moving to 1 weekend night /week @ the bar & then eventually quitting entirely. I want my life back.

I work only one job now, but for a while I was homeless after getting hit with a divorce and a huge IRS bill at the same time. My work week pretty much was this:
6:30 Get up out of the car I was living in, go to a bar to sweep and mop the floor, and to replace kegs.
8:00-12:00 Ramp supervisor at a small airport.
12:00- 13:00 Wash cars for a car rental
13:00-17:00 Ramp supervisor
17:00-18:00 wash cars again.
Three nights a week, doorman at bar from 21:00-01:00
Two nights a week I went to the community center and volunteered to help watch keylatch kids and help them with their homework.
Saturday mornings I would go to a horse farm and clean stables and clean and repair saddles and bridles. If needed, I would help out at the airport in the evenings.
Sundays I did pick-up work for a roofer, or help with the cooking at the bar. If needed, I would help out at the airport, or wherever.
In exchange for letting me park my car in the relative safety of the airport at night, when an aircraft came in for night fueling, I took care of that also.
The bar and car rental were on the property of the airport.
I did this for just under two years.

I did it for about 15 years. I worked 6 nights a week at a union grocery store and had my own paint and wallpaper business during the day. I made great money, but now my body is paying the price. When I hit 40 years old, it was like a switch got flipped, tired all the time and hurting. I don't know how I did it, I couldn't work nights now if I had to.

I'm a professional nanny and also sell a buttload of stuff on ebay in my "spare time." I have a husband, 3 kids and a full time step child who will be in a body cast as of Monday for the next 8-10 weeks.

I think that's about 20 jobs.

I only have one job, but I do work double shifts. I'm currently working 90 hour work-weeks. My day starts at 6:00am, and ends at midnight.

I figure I'll get my sleep in the grave.
