So I still have my amazing CAK, but after a friend painted it as a surprise... I have spent a while with a wire wheel and buffer and it still is one ugly blade currently. Could anyone near or in colorado who has the proper stuff help me get it back to its old good looking self?

I would really appreciate it, I can pay ya if you like. Just want it to look like its old self again :/

Thanks.

I thought you looked familiar, my friend. :D

What is still wrong with it?

Off the top of my head i don't recall any members from your area, but we do have a couple of talented people that may be of service, such as this man who can put a shine on just about anything and sharpen like nobodys business. You might want to email him and as if he has time and would be interested.

I am not nearly as talented as he is, but i do probably have most of the knowledge and tools, except for sharpening.
I'm still working on that. :o
I'm also not the fastest, but if you wanted to pay the shipping both ways( to-from NY) i would gladly do my best for you.

Or we can wait and see if someone closer chimes in.

karda,

basically the blade is spotted, looks like bits of laminate is still on it, still quite about of paint on the handle and brass pommel and guard...

I tried sanding and wire wheeling and afraid I may have hurt the handle a little and don't want to do anymore damage.

would be eternally grateful for your help if you don't mind?

How close to Denver are you? It might take me a bit of time, but I think I could fix it back up for you.

I'm in Highlands Ranch/Centennial area. We could set up a meet somewhere between, if you want. Would probably have to be on the weekend, due to work.
