Anyone in SLC Utah want to do Lunch Friday?

Hey Guys, I'm heading to Salt Lake City Utah Friday. Will be in the area of 3500 S and Redwood road. I'm heading up there get some supplies from Tandy Leather and buy a new Busse knife.

Tandy Leather is located inside the Carriage Square Shopping Center at Redwood Road:

1777 West 4160 South
Salt Lake City, UT 84119

There is also a BSA store, eateries and some other cool shops at the Shopping Center.

Anyone in the SLC area want to hook up for lunch? And maybe do a little show and tell? If some one does, I'll bring some blades and my camera. Let me know. Thanks,

You know, Heber, this summmer I drove through Utah on my way to a wedding in Vegas. I didn't make it to Uncle Bills or Rusty's. I thought of you and actually looked in a phone book, but gave up as the search and time element seemed hopeless.

One of these days I might catch up to you, but it won't be in Salt Lake on Friday.

Not for this Friday, but I *do* travel to Hill frequently. I'll have to keep this in mind in the future. I'm headed to Warner Robins next week...

VHD, it would be cool if you bring the family. I just found out that the person I need to meet will be in a meeting from 10:30 to about noon so I will either be at Tandy around 10:00am or just after Noon. Will find out which it will be and let you know.

Munk, if you are ever in Utah again, give me a holler. The phone isn't in my name so I'm not in the phone book. All you need to do is email me or post and I'll send you my number. Next time you are in town let me know. I'd love to hook up and chat for a while. :)

E-mail sent your way Heber. I could bring some of my knives. I only have 1 khuk right now, the others were either given away as gifts or stolen, but I'll bring my Peterson original which I think you'll like. The guy who makes them lives in Salina.

Hey Nasty what do you do at Hill? I'm stationed there or here I guess. Thats if you can say that is.

Salina is just south of where my mom lives. This sounds like it's shaping up to be a cool day.:D
 
Well, right now it looks like we have 7 people coming. There is my ride and I, Vampire Hunter D and 3 and Jeepin. :) Oh yeah and Greg, the guy I'm getting the knife from, but he will only be there for a few minutes.

From what I can tell right now, we should meet at Tandy Leather around 10:00 or a little after, do some shopping, a little show and tell then go out and get something to eat. VHD mentioned Golden Corral and I like the idea. So if any one is interested in eating, please bring some money.

Also, people are welcome to bring somethings for a little show and tell. I'll have my new Busse, a few Khukuris and maybe a few other things.:) So if you have it and want to show it off, Bring it. :)

It's going to be a fun Friday Morning.:D

Edited to add: If I can get peoples Phone numbers that would be great. That might help working things out.:) (Danial have yours, let me know when would be a good time tomorrow afternoon or evening to call you)
 
VHD...I'm a system engineer on the DMAPS project (if you know what that is). I've spent quite a bit of time there, either in briefings or out on the flightline/shops. Heck...we might know each other :cool:

Next time you're at the 4AMU look for A1C/SrA Balderas. Right now I'm working in the support section, after April I'll be on the line again :barf: . I hope to have a set of orders in my hands by then.

I just got off the phone with Daniel. Great guy. Can't wait to meet him in person. It's going to be fun! :D

P.S. forgot to ask, you still on for eating at Golden Corral? I'm going to be hungry by the time we get done shopping and showing off steel.
