I'm in San Antonio. Just looking for like minded folks to put together a weekend or meetup. Share skills, goof off, etc......

Quite a few of us like minded folks in Texas. I'm about 45 minutes north of you in the hill country. 3 of us went out last sunday and did a 2day 1 nighter. Practiced a few skills, tested some new equipment, sat around the fire and told lies. All in all a good time even though it dropped below 20 F.

I'm in the swamplands myself, but I love the hill country and can be there in a couple of hours. I'll be spending some serious time in the Vanderpool area right after christmas.

i'm up for a overnighter in the public area of san gabriel river but do'nt know about the legality of overnite camping. due to drought we might not be able to do fires. this area is about 4 miles north of taylor. great old trees but a ton of poison oak & ivy.

I'm out in the country about 40 miles east of Austin. Getting together sounds like a great idea to me!

I'm in the German outpost just up I-35. I work in San Antonio most of the time. Maybe we could get together some time. I'm often busy with the kids though. Take care.

The thing about TX..is its huge! lots of us here just spread out some..I'm deep in the pines over by the Lousiana border if yall ever get out this way. Lots of woods, snakes and feral hogs to play with!

South East Texas Coast here, in the Corpus Christi area. I'm about 2 hours south of San Antonio so anything in and around there would be fair game if I can get a day off and trick my wife into watching our son when the sun moon and stars align :D

Yep, our Great State is a very large place! I love that roadsign on I-10 just after you cross the Sabine into Texas (near Orange)...it says "Houston 62 miles...El Paso 894 miles"...you gotta love it!

I am in the Valley, and I guess it is still part of Texas, but its al ong drive to anywhere except Mexico. I don't want to go and try and survive there.

Tell me about it! And here in Harlingen, I'm closer than many of the smaller towns in the Valley to San Antonio (four hours) and Corpus Christi (two hours) as I'm right on the 77/83 interchange. :p

I spend part of my time in the Brushlands (The Valley) and part of my time in the Hill Country, Real County. Check out my videos on YouTube: Crooked and Hook Knives and South Texas Insect Repellents. Maybe some of you visit Paleoplanet and you can see my selfbows and knives.

PS: Nice to see so many woods rats live in Texas.

I'm right outside of Dallas, meeting some like minded people would be nice as i generally only find hobos when i'm hiking.
