I'm just wondering if anyone out there is interested in a full tang 20" Sirupati? The full tang should put some more weight nearer to the handle so the P.O.B. (point of balance) would be alot closer to the handle. This would make this model more agile. I guess martial artists would be interested, but maybe someone else here would be. Uncle Bill says that we need five takers, and it would cost $150 with a delivery sometime in March. Hopefully there are four more interested. ??

Odd you should mention that... I was planning to order a 20" Sirupati in the next week or so. Yup, put me down for one of them, please - the tang design is the only part of the traditional khukhuri design that I have a problem with, so a full tang version appeals to me a lot.

What do you mean by full tang? Split handle with rivets, like the Chiruwa? The 20" sirupatis are great!

ALLRIGHT! Me!

Bill - Please disregard my e-mail about allways being too late. I finally got one.

Thanks

Thanks Uncle Bill and everyone who ordered the 20" Full tang Sirupati. Now the fun of waiting for it comes into play!

I'm curious: What kind of pins are used for a full tang sirupati. I have a GH panawal with aluminum pins and the wooden scales began to loosen.

Also, do you need the money up front?

So far all our Chirwas have come with steel rivets. No loosening of any so far to the best of my knowledge.

Anybody with Chiruwas had any problems?

No up front money required.

Well, one advantage of having scales is that you can change the scales to other materials. Micarta, exotic woods, maybe even G-10. The main thing I wanted the full tang is to put some weight in the handle. I plan to use this 20" Sirupati for martial arts work.
