Anyone interested in more straight-handled Busses?

I just received an ASHBMLE and am really loving the straight handle -- hand smoothed black micarta, in this case (pics needed, I know). I'd love to see a 7-8" blade with the same handle -- just like the ASH-1, but a bit longer. Anyone else share this obsession, I mean interest?

I would love to see a return of the straight handled Steel Heart! :)

Oh no, you did not!!??!! Did you just ask for a SHSH?!???!

My CC HATES YOU!!!!!! :grumpy:

The return of a SH1, BBSHSH or SHSH2 I would be OH SO BROKE!!! Just PLEASE, NO LB's in those size knives...

GOTS to have LB, bro. 6-8" blade screams LB to me. Love the SARGE so much more than the solid-tang SARs because of the improved balance, agility and speed. And oh yeah, LBSHSH2 would be a world beater. So would a FSHLB or NMSFNOLB or HellrazorLB or SJTACLB.

Will, no no you been drinking the cool-aid!!! LB poohy, Me likes the junk in the trunk. Always felt the blade to be quicker with more weight aft. LB's to me make the blade want to pitch out of my hand, but that's just me.;)

I still remember ordering a NO-E from Andy Prisco and sending it back because the handle weight with that length blade made the knife feel so ridiculously clunky to me. But I know many put that knife at the top of their list. Different strokes, bro--I get it.

Pullen you chain Bro, :p, I agree in that there have been some they were crazy weight one way or the other. My BA-e is one of those your talking about. Yep, to each there own which is one reason I like the Busse Combat line. Lots of different models and something for all.

I love it. We like too many of the same knives to be that far apart, pard. It's all good--having a choice, that is. :D

More SH's? Oh, yes!!! Just received my ASHBM CG c/ Choil (muddy/tan) and LOVE it! Super sweet set up with the Skystorm modular dual carry rig (brown) that Skyler built for it! I am in love with the knife and the entire sweet package. I can't imagine my Mistress with any other handle (yes, I agree, different strokes, etc - all good!).

Goes beautifully with my 3B2 - I am truly mad about that Bird-Beaked SH! The pair got me thinking about the ideal "small" knife to complete a 3-knife SH package (for now, my AMS will just have to do ;) )

My answer, I think, is the SHBA. Can it come back, please? Interest out there in an INFI SHBA? I don't know how many of those there are, but we need more, no? If the SHBA was fully retired, how about:

NMSHBA!!! What a splendid design the SHBA would be in a 5.5" blade? What do you think?

Dreaming . . .

Ken

Yes, I'm a big fan of the straight handles, especially when they are made with Res-C.

Congrats on your ASHBMLE - it's a great knife!

Having a choice between .187", .225" (LE) and .32" thick blades is one cool thing about the ASH1 - something for everyone!

Man gimme a straight handle! Actually, if you put the ASHBM spine side down you will notice a slight curve to the handle. Just sayin'. It's great!
