Anyone into muzzle loader knives

nice looking knives.i have never seen a specific patch knife and i think the PC police would have issues with these knives.

Shakudo, why would the "PC Police" have "issues" with these knives? What kind of "issues"?

they are stainless to start with.if you have never participated in a juried event, you wouldn't know much about the PC police and their thread counting, anti machine sewn clothing, rubber soled moccasins, and other non documentated items.i believe the term patch knife is a modern mountain man term.

In case anyone else is wondering (It took me a few minutes to figure it out), "PC" stands for "Period Correct", not "Politically Correct". I think. Ever have one of those slow days?

As for the knives, they seem a bit over-priced to me. And why worry about using wood for the handles to make the knives "authentic", when you're using stainless for the blades? If you're looking for a 'patch knife', a Russel paring knife would be more PC, IMO, and cheaper too. If you want to spend some money, there are a lot of custom makers out there who can give you knife that is actualy period correct for the same or less. Performance will be just as good too. If what you want is another Bark River to add to the collection, then this one works.

D'oh, whatta bone-head I am! I didn't even think about "period correct", I was thinking politically correct! :footinmou I wonder why these aren't BRKT's usual A2? I really like the look of them, but will probably pass due the price. I would probably jump at half that though.
