Anyone keep their SAK on a chain?

I usually just drop my SAK into my pocket but have been thinking about buying one of those Wenger short chains with the clip at each end. I could clip one end to the knife and the other end to my belt loop and slip it into my pocket. A few weeks ago I was sitting on the couch playing with my nephew and when I got up my knife was sitting on the couch. I don't want my knives falling out of my pockets around my 11 month old nephew or 8 month old niece. Plus I think the chain looks pretty classy.

That is a great idea and a great looking chain. Where are you going to order the chain from? I keep my Fire * Fly II flashlight on a chain atached to my belt. It hangs right into my pocket.

Victorinox also makes a very nice belt hanger with the same snap-hook on the end.

I ordered one of those too. :D But I got it for my keys. I want my SAK to sit in my pocket and I didn't think the belt loop allowed the SAK to hang low enough. Maybe I can attach the chain to the belt loop?

On occasion, I used to put my SAK Huntsman on a paracord lanyard. Since reading this thread, I've put it on an old pocket watch chain, which is a much more elegant solution.

I keep my sak on a lanyard.

It's a piece of black braided nylon with a knot at the end that gets slipped under my belt, just above the pocket. The lanyard is just long enough to let the knife reach the bottom of the pocket.

To retrieve the knife if in an awkward position, just grab the lanyard and pull out from pocket, and the knot can be tugged out from under belt. I learned this from Sgt. first class E. Mouton, my platoon sgt. in 1972. It was usefull to keep the issue Camillus scout knife in the fatique pocket.

I tried out the gold chain from my Collibri pocket watch before buying my Wenger chain. It seemed to work well but it was a bit on the delicate side. Also the clasps were too small to fit on a belt loop.
