Have a Wenger Standard Issue that has sentimental value to me. Been trying to find a SAK modder who isn't booked for years or charge a kidney's worth lol. Wanted screws put in place of the current pivots, and maybe change a tool or two if possible. The main goal really is to make the tools easier to open as currently the awl is nail breaking difficult. If anyone knows someone, please let me know. Many thanks.

This is not a simple process. All of the holes in the hardened blades have to be enlarged to accommodate the internally threaded barrels. The barrels and screws must be cut to length. New scales would have to be added because the old scales are hollow and cannot accept a counterbore. The new scales must be CNC’d.

Thanks for the knowledge. I figured it wasn't that easy, but for a professional not that tall of a task. The big surprise was that you said scales have to be replaced. Thats one thing I do not want to do. I thought for sure someone did the mods on a stock alox scale. If that is the case that the scales need to be replaced, I guess I won't try to get it done. Thanks for the info.

Sorry, I thought you talking about hollow Cellidor scales. The Alox scales only need to have the pin holes enlarged and counter bored.

Thank you everyone! I reached out. Got my fingers crossed. Super excited about this. A sentimental piece I have had for so long that I never carried because it was so uncomfortable to use. Hopefully that will be rectified!
