Odd request.
Can anyone actually replace a stainless Spyderco Delica blade with a new one?

IF... a new knife was provided, is there a talented workman who could remove an original blade and the blade from a NEW one and put the new blade in an old stainless Delica?

I know it would require drilling out the old pins (and probably the pins from the new one) and reinstall the new blade to replace the one from the other.

Keeping the lockup functional, of course.

If so, could you suggest WHO could do such an operation?

Spyderco won't even try it. Which I can understand as it would require good handiwork.

Thanks and pls let me know if you can suggest anyone.

:)

Yep. Josh at REK.
He did this regrind.
Definitely, a superb craftsman.
He does reblade as well.

But I don't know if reblading Delica is cheaper than buying a new one.
Probably substantially more expensive.
If you want a special blade on it (like a full height hollow blade), it may be worth trying.

Okay, thank you.
I have sent an email to Josh and will now hope he doesn't think I'm ...completely.... crazy and we'll see where it goes from here.
