Anyone know about Earth Skills in SoCal

I'm new on this forum and looking to learn some wilderness skills. I found a place in southern california called Earth Skills (earthskills.org) and thought it might be a good place to start, especially since it isn't too far away. I couldn't find any reference to it in the archives so I thought I'd ask.

Hey Brian, I can't help you with your question, but know of a couple of So. Cal residents that frequent Plainsmans Cabin. You might post this question there and see if they can answer it for you.
 
They are out of Frazier Park I believe? I have heard good things about them.
