Anyone know about Loflin knives?

I've got a really nice drop point sheath knife by a knifemaker by the name of "Loflin." It's a really nice knife and has an Indian maiden with long hair scrimshawed by Sandra Brady. I can't find anything on this knifemaker but my recollection is that his first name may have been John or Jim. I bought the knife from Tom Carver at his cutlery shop in Roswell, GA about 1980 or so. I suspect that Loflin may be deceased. Anyone know about the man, his whereabouts and if he is still around?
