It was a sickle shaped blade, used by the Spartans, and maybe other greeks, i cannot find a picture of one, anyone have some info?

Didn't the egyptians have a similar sword? If you could find it, perhaps it would reference the greek one.

I have checked every resourse i know about on the web with no luck, anyone know where there is some good info on greek weapons?
Was the egyption sword similar in shape or name? This doest apear to be the main battle weapon of the spartans which was the xiphos.
