I have been looking up well built pocket folders and I came across Crusader Forge Knives. I really like the large chuck of steel and titanium they're made of and I'm curious to know if they are worth looking at? Particularly for the price; and why aren't these knives more well known?

I have been as well. From what I've gathered, it's built very well but it's not as refined in fit and finish as CRK or HINDERER. its definitely an over-built, no non-sense folder. I recently emailed them about availability, on the metro tactical to be specific, and the response I got back said it had a back log of 12-18 months, unless you're in the service and you had a deployment date.. probably means you'll get bumped to the front of the list?

Theres a few members around who have some of the folders, their near custom is why you don't see many of them. Also there very thick, which means heavy and brick like. So unless you really like carrying a brick in your pocket their just a little much even for most knife guys. The reality is yes their built like tanks but 99.8% of the people who edc are not going to carry em around.
Look up Dennis Strickland here on the forums he has a few of em and will post pictures and tell you about em, good stuff to be sure, just real big and very heavy.

These are currently my 2 EDC knives, a Crusader Forge VF01 flipper & an older Spyderco Military S30V SE
The CF gets carried clipped in my right front jeans pocket, while the Millie lives in my lightweight outdoor trousers.
Here are a couple of comparison shots;

Hello kwackster, I am new to this forum and was looking around for anyone with CF knives and noticed this thread. I have to ask...how did you get that awesome edge on that VF01?!?! im only asking because I just ordered my FIFP today and want to get an edge like that put on mine. Great collection!

Is that thing like 8 degrees inclusive or is it really that thick behind the edge?
