I just picked up a Hornet on trade. It's a nice knife with a very solid liner lock. It passed my spine whack test with no problem. The embedded rubber give the aluminum handle great grip, and you get a great, deep throated ker-thunk when you flick it open. My hand is medium sized, and just a hair too big for the handle. In a natural grip, my middle finger rests right on the point between the two finger grooves. I find myself moving my hand forward so that my first finger actually hangs over the front edge of the handle. Not very safe for stabbing, but just fine for whittling! I think the handle would be very comfortable for a woman or small handed man. The blade is thick and wide. It looks it could take lots of abuse without suffering. The serrations are very aggressive in rope and cardboard.
But ... it wasn't all that sharp. In fact, the edge had a burr! Knocking it off improved the edge, ovbiously, but it's still not "hair popping" sharp. Hair scraping, yes, but not hair popping. Also, the grind lines aren't symmetrical! There's a full 1/10 inch difference where the grind lines meet the spine. That makes absolutely no difference performance wise but you expect a little better from a company that claims to hold manufacturing tolerances to within one ten thousandth of an inch.
I like it more than my BM705. Hope this helps.
