Anyone know anything about this Ka-bar?

I've been interested in getting a Hawkbill knife and was wonder how this one rated.

dunno anything about it, but...

it looks godawful, retro-superkiller to me...

i'm not impressed, even if it's a ka-bar (for the most part i generally like ka-bar's line).



get a spyderco 'merlin' or 'harpy'. i think these are discontinued, but you can definately still find them around. plus, they are cheaper and lockback. cause linerlocks are stupid.

Despite what the ad on the webpage says, I don't think the knife is manufactured by Kabar. Maserin is an Italian manufacturer that does some contract manufacturing work for US brands. Here is a little info on one of their products that is produced for AG Russell under contract (I think that is how it works).

The knives are probably well made.

Why are liner locks stupid, I have never had any problems out of mine (at least not the good ones)

I've looked at the Spydercos that where mentioned and I kinda like them, but how easy is it to get accustomed to using the hole instead of a stud? I have played with some Spydercos in the past and the hole was just too awkward to really jump on.
