So I got this knife around 6 years ago from an older cousin who says he got it from someone in the military. It's bent bad and I know it's made by Camillus but that's it. And is it covered under any kind of warranty?

There should be a date stamped on the hex pommel of it too. Although from 1962-67 the did not do any stamping on the end of it.

Not sure, im not an expert by any means on them. Dont know if no date would make it more valuable to collectors or not. I browsed the internets and ebay have them averaging for about 70-150. But some of them were in pretty decent shape.

It is a USAF pilot's survival knife. The "sawback" is designed for tearing through aluminum, and the hex pommel was for some specific purpose as well; I've heard that it was designed to fit into a particular hexagonal fitting on some life rafts. Ontario is producing them now (http://ontarioknife.com/fixed-blades/499-air-force-survival-nsn-7340-00-098-4327-detail) but I don't know if they're still being issued.

:thumbup: This is it the pommel was used for that and to pound and hammer things, you can still find them around pretty easily.
