Is it worth my $24? I just want something that's somewhat strong and sturdy for camping. I don't want to pay more than this price because I just spent $70 on a mini-grip w/ D2 and I need to spend another $50 for a sharpmaker.

Maybe I should get the ka-bar dozier for $17 or the A.G. Russell Hunter's Scalpel for $20.

The dozier would be your best choice in my opinion. The boker is OK, it's from their Magnum line, which is well "the cheap line". Anyways, get the Dozier, for $17 you can't go wrong, in fact get 2. :D

The only thing abut the dozier is that they are so light... only 2.24 ounces. I like my knives to be a bit heavier (closer to 4.5 to 5 ounces).

Both folders are worth the money. I have several boker folders and they are pretty OK. Only one little thing, the Boker AK 74 Knife, Black Handle, BK-KAL74 has no pocket clip.

Good luck.

Is there any fixed blade that goes for this price and are similar in performance? I assume it'd be cheaper to make a fixed than folding so it should be possible to find such a knife.
