Anyone know the best way/place to purchase a NIB HD-7?

Seems like most sites have a few month waiting period, and I also heard rumors that they were discontinued. I'm looking for one in satin / plain edge. thanks.
 
Just a few month waiting period? Good luck with that... Your best bet would actually be to buy from a collector or a member here.
 
There was a run made a short while back but they sold out in about 5 minutes. I would be a bit more pro-active than waiting for them to turn up at dealers my self. Your best bet is to start combing the forums and you should get one eventually. :):thumbup:
 
I don't understand why Emerson do this shit. They need to stop artificially restricting their supply. I don't believe the situation would be the same if they ran at 100% capacity.

There's that and the fact that they do make quite a lot of different knives for such a small set up. They just can't make all of the knives all of the time so they have to be done in batches.

It's not ideal for us as customers but it beats the bojangles out of the alternatives, like taking some of the production off shore or reducing the number of models offered.
There is also a "multi year" back log on the custom knives so I bet that keeps him busy too. :eek::p
