Long story short, a non knife friend was using this to clean his bong and asked if I knew anything about it... I'm ashamed at how poorly he treated it and want to see if I can speak with the original maker! Its blued Damascus (rusted :( ) Damascus bolster and backspacer with gold inlays and white mother of pearl handled with gold screws and thumb studs and titanium liners

I tried his website, but it's straight out of 2005. I emailed the listed address anyway! coop, I'm not sure what you mean by your post, will he be there? Also those pics don't show how bad the blade is :(

Spike: That's his current email address. Replace the'AT' with '@' (No spaces). (I wrote it this way so SPAM robots don't pick up on a stray email.)

Good luck.

Was he high when he used that to cleaned it?!?

Must have been!!!! [emoji12][emoji100]

Some friend you have there!? Anyway, Take it apart, soak the gunk-ed up parts in rubbing alcohol for a bit(to soften up the gunk). Then add a good amount of table salt(acts as an abrasive) to the alcohol and scrub the gunk off. Rinse the parts immediately afterwards(salt will rust) with fresh water, then dry. If there is surface rust, you can use some baking soda to remove it. If it is pitted from rust you're SOL and I think you should kick your friend's Ass! Hope that helps!

I'm curious to hear the back story here. How the heck did your friend end up with this knife, and know nothing about it, or its value? How could he not see it was something special just by looking at it?

Probably got it in trade for some ah........
What would something like that run new? IMHO you might check with the maker and ask if any of these ever went missing? Lots of improperly acquired things get traded for ah............ you know.

This is as funny as it gets in the Custom & Handmade Knives sub-forum. :D
